Director’s Notes

 Dear Parents and Students,

            I would like welcome all of our returning band students and our new band students to another exciting year in the Gifford Middle School Band.  We have a full year of performances scheduled beginning with our Fall Concert on October 28^th, 2008, where you will be able to hear all 300 GMS Band students in concert!  We are also looking forward to the GMS Symphonic Band performance at the Florida Southern College Middle School Band Symposium on November 14^th, 2008.

            With approximately 300 students in band and a full year of activities scheduled, I would like to encourage all parents to become a member of the GMS Band Parent’s Association, and volunteer to help the band have a successful year.  Finally, I look forward to working with all of our wonderful students and a great musical experience in the 2008-2009 school year!
